Artificial jewelry in demand; gold out of reach

PESHAWAR: The artificial jewelry is vogue of the day in Peshawar like other cities of the country, as the burgeoning gold prices pushed the metal out of people’s reach, Geo News reported Wednesday.

The bullion markets in the city are less crowded and even on the wedding occasions, the gold purchase is less witnessed. The increasing gold prices spurred the business of artificial jewelry.

The women buying the artificial jewelry said going for the artificial jewelry has been necessitated by not only the gold prices but also the street crimes that forced them to wear artificial jewelry.
